Pack by person, then by when you need it
Separate pouches or ordinary bags make it easier for someone else to find things. Keep the first useful items near the top and leave a short last-minute note on the handle. Ask your maternity unit about its own requirements before buying supplies; no general checklist knows exactly what your unit provides.
